Go where the legacy lives. Go where excellence isn’t the exception — it’s the expectation.

And then we hand them… nothing. No map. No list. No front door. We tell a seventeen-year-old that Historically Black Colleges and Universities matter, and then we expect that same kid to go dig through a hundred scattered websites, decode admissions pages, and somehow piece together the whole HBCU landscape on their own.

If we truly believe it’s important, why are we making our kids do all the research? Why isn’t there simply a website they can go to — one place that lists the schools, tells them what’s real, and lets them pick?

If it matters to us, it should be easy for them. Belief without a path is just pressure.

So Oddusee built the list.

Oddusee lists every HBCU — the full lineup of Historically Black Colleges and Universities — with detailed information for kids to browse and see exactly what each school has to offer. Programs, character, location, the feel of the place. Not buried. Not behind ten clicks. Straight to the point, the way a student actually wants to read it.

A young person can sit down, scroll the schools, and start narrowing their own list in an afternoon. That’s the whole idea: put the choice back in the student’s hands by first putting the information in their hands.

That directory has a home of its own: Oddusee HBCU at oddusee.com/hbcu. It’s the whole landscape in one place — every Historically Black College and University laid out so a student can browse, compare, and see what each campus offers without hunting across a hundred separate websites. No logins, no maze. One link, and the entire list opens up.

Send your student straight to the source — the full HBCU directory:

Browse the DirectoryOddusee HBCU

To every predominantly Black high school, counselor, and parent:

You don’t have to build this from scratch. The list already exists. Share it with your students, print it, pin it to the counseling board, drop it in the group chat. When a kid asks “where should I even start?” — now there’s an answer that fits on a screen.

Leading by example.

It’s easy to say what our community should have. It’s harder to actually build it. Oddusee is choosing to build it — not to talk about the problem, but to be the answer to it. If we say the path matters, then the path should exist. So here it is.

And this connects to the cities we cover. The HBCU story isn’t abstract — it lives in real places. New Orleans is home to Xavier, Dillard, and Southern’s NOLA campus. Houston anchors Texas Southern, with Prairie View A&M just up the road. Atlanta holds the crown jewel cluster — Clark Atlanta, Morehouse, Spelman, and Morris Brown, side by side. Start with your city, then see the whole map.

Explore Oddusee in these cities — culture, business, politics, and the roads to our schools:

ExploreOddusee Atlanta
ExploreOddusee Houston
ExploreOddusee NOLA

Oddusee — a home for Black business, culture, and the next generation’s future.
